"Jennifer Rushworth-Claeys, Director of Young Person's services at WithYou, invites you to their next online learning event taking place on Thursday 26th September 2024 9.15am to 10am via Google Meet.
This is an event for professionals supporting young people and families. We will discuss
- LGBTQ+ history and its impact in 2024
- LGBTQ+ young people’s experiences in the UK
- Understanding identity and terminology
- LGBTQ+ communities relationships with drugs and alcohol
The session will be led by Kate Ashfield- Fox, our Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Kate has led on equality, diversity and inclusion strategy in third sector organisations that operate in the Criminal Justice System and health and social care sectors. She has also delivered LGBTQ+ training to private, public and third sector organisations across the UK. As a gay woman Kate is passionate about raising awareness of the barriers to LGBTQ+ people accessing vital services and empowering allies to address these barriers in their day to day practice.
